First and foremost, after 22 years of being known as North County Lawn Care, we updated “Lawn Care” to Landscape Co. We believe that Landscape Co fits our full-service focus even better than just lawn care.
What 2025 Built: A Foundation for Better Service
As we look back on 2025, we see more than just company milestones. We see tangible improvements in how we serve you. From the moment you submit a service request to the day your project is complete, every upgrade we made was designed to make your experience smoother, faster, and more transparent.
Here’s what changed, and more importantly, what it means for your landscape in 2026.
1. A New Name for a New Era
The Change: After 22 years of being known as North County Lawn Care, we officially became North County Landscape Co.
What This Means for You:
The new name reflects who we’ve become. We’ve grown far beyond mowing and maintenance into full-service landscape design, installation, gardening, and lawn health care. In short, we don’t just care for lawns anymore; we bring entire landscapes to life!
The name change honors where we started while giving room for where we’re headed next.
2. Faster Project Starts and Healthier Plants
The Change: On May 1, 2025, we moved into our new three-acre headquarters in Delta Tech Industrial Park, a space four years in the making.
What This Means for You:
- Your plants arrive healthier. Our on-site nursery keeps plants properly stored and irrigated before installation (hello! no more worrying about them drying out in the sun! ), which means better survival rates and faster establishment in your beds.
- Projects start sooner. Large storage bunkers for rock, soil, and bark mean we keep materials on hand, so we’re not waiting on suppliers to begin your project.
- Less downtime, more uptime. Our shop with a vehicle lift allows our mechanic to handle maintenance in-house, which means fewer equipment delays and more reliable service scheduling.
- Better product conversations. When you visit our office for project consultations, you’ll see sample boards, product displays, and even a three-hole synthetic turf putting green that shows installation options firsthand. (We tell clients it’s for demos. Really, it’s settled more lunch-break debates than we’d like to admit.)

3. More Availability for Seasonal Services
The Change: We expanded our Beds and Gardening Department with a second full-time crew in 2025.

- More consistent quality. With two dedicated teams, we can maintain our attention to detail even during peak spring and fall seasons when demand is highest.

The Change: Our Automower program officially became its own department in 2025, now managing a fleet of 17 Husqvarna robotic mowers across Whatcom County.

- Your lawn is always perfectly maintained, without the noise, emissions, or weekly scheduling hassles of traditional mowing. (Also, the neighbors can’t complain about early Saturday morning mower sounds. You’re welcome.)

The Change: We completed our full transition to Aspire, a professional software platform designed specifically for the landscape industry.
What This Means for You:
Aspire isn’t just backend software. It’s your portal to complete transparency and control. Through your client account, you can now:
- View and approve proposals online without waiting for email back-and-forth
- Pay invoices instantly from any device
- Create and track service requests in real time
- See property photos and crew notes so you’re always in the loop
We know clear communication is one of the top reasons clients stay with us year after year. Aspire puts everything you need in one organized, accessible place, so you spend less time coordinating and more time enjoying your outdoor space.

6. Smarter Logistics Mean Fewer Delays
The Change: Dylan, one of our long-term team members, earned his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and now serves as our Equipment Mobilization Specialist.

In Washington State, highway weight limits are strict, and violating them causes costly delays. With a CDL-licensed specialist on staff, we control our own logistics, which means:
- Your materials and equipment arrive on time, every time
- We avoid regulatory delays that could push back your project timeline
- Heavy machinery moves safely and legally, protecting both our team and your property
It’s an operational detail that might not sound glamorous, kind of like flossing or changing your oil. But it’s the kind of behind-the-scenes professionalism that keeps your projects running smoothly.
The Team Behind the Service
None of these improvements would matter without the people who make them real.
This year, Kaitlyn Kurisu stepped into her first full season as our Maintenance Production Manager, the person who ensures your communication flows seamlessly between field crews and the office. She holds a degree in graphic design and a professional certification in Horticulture. Before Kaitlyn, this work was spread across multiple people. Now, you get faster responses, smoother scheduling, and a dedicated point of contact who knows your property inside and out.
We also celebrated small joys that remind us why we do this work: rainbow photos our crews captured after Pacific Northwest storms, laughter at our annual holiday party at Hotel Leo, and yes, a few friendly putting green competitions during lunch breaks.
We believe in five-star landscapes, but we also believe in five-star people. And apparently, five-star pool players. I loaded a few pool play photos into the Slack All Employees channel
