Semiahmoo Curb Appeal Update

The homeowners at this Semiahmoo residence wanted a modern, low-maintenance landscape that would complement their home’s clean architecture and reduce the ongoing effort of lawn care. After seeing a nearby project completed by North County Landscape Co., they reached out seeking a similar transformation—one that would replace turf with layered textures and give them a blank canvas for future planting.

The project required careful coordination with the Semiahmoo Architectural Standards Committee to gain approval for all design updates. Our team also needed to work around existing irrigation lines, remove trees that had outgrown their space, and refresh the property’s structure without losing its welcoming feel.

Once approved, we removed eight trees, transplanted several to new locations, and cleared the front lawn. New paver paths were installed using 18×18” Manhattan Newstone squares in dark charcoal to match existing hardscape elements. Layers of river rock, drain rock, and dark quarry rock created visual contrast, while fresh three-way topsoil and a thick layer of black mulch finished the space with depth and polish. The result was a clean, HOA-compliant front yard that blends functionality with a timeless look.
